Great value!
This Hostel is without doubt one of the nicest hostels I've stayed in. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the facilities are clean and tidy.
The whole atmosphere is very welcoming, so much so that I did not hesitate to return at the end of my trip.

What a Place.
it has to be one of the best Hostels along Australia's east coast.
WOW! Its more like a hotel. Evening entertainment like free quizes make it easy to mingle, and they even take you to the supermarket for your shopping. Unlike most hostel kitchens this one was spottless, and even had clean tea-towels! By far the best hostel in Oz!

I planned on staying in Agnes Water...
for a couple nights when I got here.. and now it's been weeks! This place can suck you in when you're not looking.
I have met some friends for life here + can definitely say without a doubt that this is the best hostel I've ever been to.
Thanks for everything guys, hopefully I'll make my way back here someday!

It was our first backpackers in Australia but we can't imagine that we will find a better one. It's hard to leave.
Thanks for everything. We will miss you and our cleaning job :-) -> every morning a new surprise - especially at the weekends.

This place is so lovely.
Definitely the best place I've stayed (so far) in Ozzie!! It felt like a kind of home for me. I was really lucky to get a nice dishie job striaght away. Your beach is b_e_a_utifull, some really good waves! No regret that I bought a board, only regret that I sold it :(
Anyway I REALLY hope that I'll be able to come back one day, it'll be a big surprise. I am gonna send me brother to this place for sure, he'll come in 16 months or so.

We loved our stay at Beachside Backpackers 1770 and the staff treated us like princesses! Being whipped up chocolate deserts and making deals for free drinks – what could be better (if only we weren’t hangover!). Definitely the cleanest friendliest and most helpful hostel on the east coast (and what a shower!).

We had a wonderful stay here at 1770 Beachside Backpackers! This hostel has the best staff on the East Coast, they are helpful, friendly and Fun ! And the hostel itself is very clean and relaxing. We are definitely going to recommend it to people we meet. Thank you Paul, Craig and Lisa for making our stay great!

What a cool new hostel! I enjoyed each minute here. The staff is amazing. Everyone made me feel like home. I love the bar and the cheap delicious backpacker meals. Everything is sooo clean and the beds are comfy. Wish I could stay longer…. Keep up the good work! I will miss you guys!

This hostel is awesome !!! Best on the East coast. All the staff are so friendly and great telling you which activities to do in Agnes/1770. The bar is really good…especially the Midori Cocktails ! Free laundry is a bonus and the rooms are spotless and spacious with a hush ensuite. We had a fab time here and just wish we had the time to spend longer here. Guys keep up the good work. It is a gem of a hostel and future backpackers: make sure you do the Scooteroo tour and thundercat tour. It’s crazy! Miss you guys. Big hugs.

We had 4 nice days here, the greatest hostel on the East coast. Nice staff, and cosy hours with dvd’s. The rooms have got everything compared to other hostels, complete luxury. We will be back!

Hola, I loved staying here, the best hostel I stayed in. Reception and owners are so nice! They take you wherever you need to go and more. Craig took me and 2 french girls to see the sunset from the lookout in 1770, it was so pretty! Rooms are so clean and the mattresses have no holes, yeahhh! The town is small but cute. Beach is beautiful and the path to it is amazing and you can see a lot of bugs, butterflies and goannas. I want to say thanks for everything to the owners. Keep this up and you will become the best hostel in Australia. I am going to recommend your hostel to everybody!!! Good luck and maybe we meet again!!!!

This is a lovely place to stay, nice and quiet, clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. They couldn’t do more to help you. This place will be fantastic when it gets more widely known as its still new and a bit empty. But still a very nice place and close to such a gorgeous beach. A special thanks to Lisa for the beautiful trip to watch the sunset. It was out of this world – so pretty – thanks again.

Had a really nice couple of nights at beachside backpackers. Our room was nice and clean and spacious. The hostel is in a perfect location to the beach and shops. Would be nice to see the place a bit busier. Staff have been really friendly and very helpful, especially Lisa for taking us to see the amazing sunset at 1770. Thanks so much. All the best!

Hey Lisa, Paul and Craig! I had good fun with you and your willingness to help is beautiful! I enjoyed to talk to the locals in the restaurant. Pulling a drunk Lady at night to the beach through mangrove jungle without a torch was quiet a surreal experience… One thing –as constructive criticism- I like to tell you: The music mix at night sucks. You are in no need to play charts, people will stay because you are lovely! Stay happy!

1770 is awesome this has to be one of the nicest hostels that I have stayed in! Not only due to the spacious clean rooms (with good mattresses, shower and air con) but the staff were so helpful and happy!

A fantastic hostel – one of the best I have stayed in! Right on the beach, clean rooms, really nice helpful staff, posh restaurant and bar and free laundry! Internet really fast and quality $5 meals. The only disappointment are the kitchens as its very small and randomly spread out- still a great place though!

Really nice stay, the staff was sooo friendly and they really did their best to make you stay as nice as possible. Tx for that! Free laundry is great, but maybe a drying machine (to pay) would be good idea (not always enough time that everything dries before leaving)… Funny friendly surf teacher!
